Description
Tower 55 Kit
This model is an accurate scale representation of Tower 55 in Fort Worth, Texas. The structure was built by the Texas & Pacific Railway around 1938 to protect its grade level crossing with the Santa Fe. In its heyday, the tower controlled the interlocking where nine railroads converged at one of the busiest junctions in the nation. Although no longer in service, the tower stands today in mute reverence as over 100 freight and passenger trains roll past each day.
Signs are included in the kit to identify it as Tower 55; they can be left off if you are modeling another location, or may be replaced with graphics of your own choosing.
